This American Pacific Northwest grown hop is a newer variety that is widely used for both bittering and aromatic characteristics. Its alpha acid content of about 12% to 14% makes Calypsoâ„¢ an excellent bittering hop.

Calypsoâ„¢ has all kinds of flavor descriptions including the most common of apple, pear, and citrus, but can expand into flavors such as melon, tropical fruits, cherry blossom, pepper, and even mint.
