Narbonne strain. Good for wines high in malic acid, produces “fruity” reds and good for producing rounder, smoother, and more aromatic wines that mature quickly. Also good for whites and rose with a tropical character, such as Riesling, Cabernet Franc and Gewuertztraminer.
