Long Hibernation Barleywine (Extract Kit)

Another Cubs-themed kit from our own Jeff. Considering Cubs fans are no strangers to waiting, why not make a celebration Barley Wine that requires extended aging? N.C. Epiphany Malt makes up the base, with Caravienne and Caramel malts giving this beer a distinct and malty backbone. American hops add a balancing yet hoppy character that will nip at even the sleepiest of Cubs. Extended aging is recommended for this beer, to be enjoyed during the dead of winter, when baseball is in full hibernation. 9% ABV, 54 IBUs.
