willing to learn more about DIY fermentation projects, and is capable of
multitasking. Retail experience is a plus. A working knowledge of homebrewing
techniques and/or beer is REQUIRED.
In other words, if you've never home-brewed before, you will NOT be considered for this position.
- 1 day of work each week (Saturday) in our retail shop, for up to 10 hours per week
- Consulting with customers on recipe design and equipment needs
- Keeping shelves stocked with products
- Helping to teach occasional brewing classes
- Handling cash flow
perfect world, we’d love to have a new employee who is also available to work
special events on 5-10 weekday nights per year, and fill-in shifts during the
week (although this is not required).
You must be available to work each Saturday, especially leading up to our busy holiday season. We are a growing company within a growing industry, and this job can be your foot-in-the-door to a rewarding career in the beer industry – our former employees have gone on to be head brewers at local and regional breweries, cellermen at nationally-distributed craft breweries, and commercial brewery equipment salesmen.
Please send an email to [email protected], and attach a resume to your reply, along with a cover letter explaining why you would like a position in the brewing industry, what your experience is with home brewing, and why you would be the perfect candidate. Please do NOT contact us in-store about this opening – if you do, we’ll be nice to your face, and then mock you once you leave for not following these instructions – also, please don’t call us about this opening. Resumes without cover letters will not be reviewed.
