Customer Reviews
Precision lab grade hydrometer measures .980-1.020 in .001 resolution, and also includes a thermometer. Great for measuring wines and meads.
Avocational brewer
When testing to see if fermentation is approaching completion, this hydrometer is essential. With the scale narrower than the typical hydrometer it is easier to get more accurate readings - taking the guesswork out of seeing exactly what the specific gravity is (especially with older eyes. Can you get along without it? Perhaps, but like any piece of equipment that is easier to use and more accurate, why would you. If you care about taking your brewing skills to a higher level, then I'd recommend adding it to your brewery. One caveat: like any piece of precision equipment, it is sensitive and somewhat fragile.
