Raleigh Brewing Company's recipe for Hidden Pipe Porter, a tasty easy drinking American porter.

The Hidden Pipe Porter provides a treasure trove of aromatics and flavors, including cocoa, creamed coffee, espresso, molasses, and a hint of blackberry. Munich, Caramel and Chocolate malts add sweetness and depth to help balance the moderate bitterness presented by two hop additions. Add cold-brewed coffee to the finished beer to bring another layer of complexity to this easy-drinking porter!

All extract recipe kits come with steeping grain bags. Bottle caps and priming sugar are not included but are selectable on this product page.

Excellent porter. Easy to follow recipe. Great blend of grains to give this beer a rich taste without being overly sweet. I did transfer to a secondary fermenter after one week and added in one cup of cold brewed coffee when I kegged the beer. One cup just gives the porter a hint of coffee. I liked so much that I am halfway through fermenting a second batch. I plan on adding two cups of coffee this time (I really like coffee).
