Nearly 400 of you voted in our final four brew-off, and we had a great time sharing those 4 phenomenal beers. Korey Sullivan finished as the brew-off champion, with his No Bollocks Brown Ale. Props to 2015 Carolina Quarterly Brew Off Champion Korey and the other 3 competitors as well… those were some tasty brews!
Korey will get to help brew his beer on Raleigh Brewing Company's 20 BBL brewhouse, and the beer will be for sale in RBC's taproom, and at bars and restaurants around the area coming soon in 2016. He takes home a cool $500 as well! And, his winning beer will be served throughout the Spring and Summer at the Raleigh Little Theater’s production of Beertown.
Do you have a beer you think could win? We'll start taking entries for Quarter 2 of the 2016 CQBO in March! Enter your beer(s) into the competition to get feedback from BJCP-certified beer judges and other beer industry professionals. Full details can be found on the competition webpage (http://carolinaquarterlybrewoff.wordpress.com/ ).
New for Quarter 2: we plan to take payment for entries via Paypal only! Hopefully this will be easier for everyone. The entry deadline for Quarter 2 is Saturday, April 23rd.
Start planning your entries today!
We're also looking ahead to plan for our upcoming Spring Festival and could use feedback - did you enjoy the Winter Festival? Let us know in the comments section.
